Some friends were staying at Sunshine Guesthouse near Insadong and I wanted to take them out for dinner. As per their request, samgyeopsal is what's for dinner.
Not far from the guesthouse, we stumbled upon Jongno Barbeque (종로바베큐). The place is just around the corner from exit 6 of Jongro3-ga station.
The place is not very huge. It's a good thing we arrived before 7pm, because a little bit after we started eating, people started coming in.
The meat came pre-sliced, and the grill is different from your regular samgyeopsal restaurants. Here, the middle is for grilling the meat, while one side is for the steamed egg, and other for kimchi jjigae.
Everything was delicious. The soondubu jjigae was had lots of tofu and just the right amount of spicy. Even my friends who are not accustomed to eating spicy food liked it.
